I can only tell you what I would do, what I have always done...
In my case, being a lifeguard (ocean, lake, river, ...), I have an even wider range of situations where while off duty I could be asked to respond, or urged to respond. Medical emergencies and water rescue...

CCP --> Critical Care Paramedic = Paramedico de Cuidados Criticos
Just in case you end up working in a Spanish spoken country one day :P

In my case, I was born in Israel but have been living in Argentina for the last 15 years. (I work counter-seasonally in the US). Since in EMT Life there are many experienced MDA (Magen David Adom) members I will stick to comment about Argentina’s EMS...

It's been a while since I've last posted here. Just wanted to know if anyone here worked or is working for Xe Company (formerly known as Blackwater USA) as an EMT-T at any level (EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-P).
I am interested in getting just general information about working in such type of work...
It's been a while since I posted anything here but I'm sure most of you we'll find these videos from YouTube interesting. -A change from the usual topics (vollies Vs. pros, armed EMS personnel, mishaps with RNs and LEOs, owning your personal rig, ...) :P ((Just kidding))

In addition to what certguy wrote (and in case the snake was not killed / captured), ask about the snake's head shape. Was it in a shape of a diamond / wider than the rest of the body?
((Every season I work in Alabama we see some snakes near and in the river. Most are just "water snakes" but...
Here in Argentina most ambulances and ERs use latex gloves. I don't know how much more expensive to manufacture are Netrile gloves (compared with Latex ones). But the main reason why Latex gloves are still widely used over here is not necessarilly due to their price but availability. It is...

When I provide services to public beaches we use VHF radios (sometimes only one radio in order to call outside agencies -LE, EMS, fire, CG -really bad budgets in Argentina).
When I provide services privately I use GMRS radios (which are part of my own equipment). I would love to...
