Still amazes me that every ambulance made does not have the ability to lock the steering wheel with the ambulance running. Would have thought it would be a requirement by now.

I wonder how many pt. contact they make? If you get started then cancelled in a few minutes it's pretty easy to get a high call volume.

I think I know how you feel. I told my boss of 32 years that the job was no longer fun. I retired from that service and moved to my hobby farm three years ago. I got another medic job at the local service that has an acute shortage of medics and EMTs. It's really different than my metro job...

I do miss that option of a metro area. Now I only have a critical care access hospital, with higher level of care 100 miles away.

Started my career with them.

I was fallowing a semi-truck when two tires came off the trailer on the freeway. One crossed the median and almost hit a car and thankfully the other one went into the ditch. It's incredible how far they went with the truck doing 70 mph.
