    Oregon EMT-I

Anyone know any college or private group that is still offering an EMT-I course in Oregon? Between all the hoopla with EMT-ADVANCED and some of the fail rates for EMT-I students it seems many colleges are dropping the program. Im now in Eugene working as a med aid for a memory care (dementia and...

    Is there anything for me?

Is there anything out there for me at this point in my career? Im looking for international work. The catch is I am a 19 year old EMT-B with a bit over a year of experience on an ambulance. Is there any company or way that I can work internationally at this point in my career? I suspect no but...

    Lifepack

On our ambulances we dont use the Lifepak for BP SPO2 or pulse. We have a separate machine (cant remember brand or model right now) that does SPO2, BP, and pulse in the ambulance. The first BP is always done (unless its a serious load and go situation) by hand, the first spo2 and pulse is with...

So i have a question... EMT-B Handling Meds

What is the difference between drawing up Epi and drawing up something else? both would be "professional acts". In oregon emt-b'c can draw and administer epinephrine. Just a thought... and I still wouldnt draw up ALS drugs just because I want to cover my own behind.

    ER Tech Interview tips?

That definitely makes sense. Should I ask questions about the facility? I know a lot about the ER that ill be working in and I have let them know that. So I dont want to sound like I misrepresented myself in my resume and application. Also are questions about the scope of practice I would be...

    ER Tech Interview tips?

Probably sound advice there. Would it be good to talk about how I will be able to gain experience and knowledge because they are a LVL2 TS and that will help me gain more knowledge and further my education. From what ive heard they want to know that you're a team player with a willingness...

I hadn't even thought about a few questions for them. Thats really a good idea. And as for attire I dont have a suit so nice shoes with khaki slacks with a nice button up and tie will have to do. Is that ok? Or over dressed? or under dressed. Ive never had an interview at this level. Meaning...

So I am an oregon EMT-B and I have an interview at a local ER (Lvl 2 trauma) on the 21st of this month. During my EMT-B course I did all of my clinical rotations at this facility and I shadowed the tech whos position I will be taking (I believe). I really enjoyed what I was doing there and saw a...
