Practice. I know you were expecting something more insightful, but really this is the only way you will get better.

What to expect during an interview?

There is a good post here with some info: http://www.emtlife.com/showpost.php?p=127111&postcount=5 Also take a look at the rest of that thread. There are also a number of other old threads that you may find to be of use: http://www.emtlife.com/showthread.php?t=8091...

Whats the most you have made in a year?

My competely unsceicntific Canadaian-American comparison from another thread is copied below. Instead of trying to factor in cost of living, we can look at it from a perspective of comparing EMS wages to the average:

    Simple question.

It is probably a pretty safe bet that you're in the US so the question has been answered (please fill out your location as it will often make a difference in questions like this). Just for food for thought though and for anyone who might come across this thread in Australia, there actually in a...

    Remove Motorcycle Helmet?

How do you expect to keep the neck neutral alignment when someone has a motorcycle helmet on?

    The Precordial Thump

You would hope they do, but I have seen many cases where there was a rhythm change to non-shockable after or at the tail end of analysis that was still shocked.

    Paramedic TV shows

I watched it last night and generally enjoyed it. Are they still doing intakes like this or is shifting to university degree paramedics?

Turn over of care from school nurse

This is exactly it. And OP, I don't think you are the only one who is confused by this because I think it is often taught poorly in class.

To STEMI or not to STEMI, that is the question...

Though the sensitivity may be low, the specificity is quite high so if an LP 15 is calling STEMI, it probably is. Source...

why are EMT interviews nerve racking?

There is no way to have a rehearsed answer for every question they could ask (nor would you want to). What I would recommend is that you ask people, Google, and think up every possible interview question you may be asked and write out an answer for it. DO NOT memorise those answers though...

I can't say I understand it, but well done! It is always good to get the message out about the importance of CPR.

Impedance Threshold Devices during cardiac arrest

Your MD should probably stop waiting. ROC PRIMED was pretty definitive on the ITD.

    Insulin dependent and driving

While I may not disagree with your argument that someone with controlled diabetes should be able to drive, the comparisons you offer to hypertension and asthma are completely unfair.

    School Nurse Wanna Be's

If you have a problem with an EMT who presents themselves as a nurse, I can understand. In terms of the public health type stuff, you are correct that a nurse is probably better suited. What I cannot agree with though is that somehow Bobby Joe is going to be at risk because he is treated by...

Impedance Threshold Devices during cardiac arrest

If you're still using them and if half of them aren't shams then you were not part of ROC PRIMED (the study mentioned in the OP).

Impedance Threshold Devices during cardiac arrest

I don't think it is fair to completely bash the concept as they were reported to improve ROSC rates before, which is all that was known before ROC PRIMED. That is more evidence than we have for a lot of things we do! That said, you're completely correct that no one should be using them now with...

    Ontario Air Ambulance System Investigated

Did you watch the video? It sounds like the initial concerns were raised by a paramedic.

    Ontario Air Ambulance System Investigated

"Flying through any weather" Ha. The new launch policy could definitely end up negatively affecting patient care. Yes, 62% of the time it will save them fuel and save the paramedics and pilots from needing to go and get cancelled. But 38% of the time there will be a delay to launching when...
