    Help with ALS algorithm!

MIght be a little late but draw out the algorithms on note cards. Step by step. That way you can break it down into smaller pieces rather than one intimidating chunk. Use your note cards as flash cards and repeatedly test yourself until you can smoothly flow from one to the next. Next time...

    Socialized Healthcare and EMS

    Socialized Healthcare and EMS

Are you kidding? Much higher call volume for less emergent reasons, much lower pay, much less funding, forget new trucks or new equipment - that is the way of socialized medicine for EMS.

Laerdal makes a pouch that goes with the LSU. Enough room for suction catheters and the power cords

In that scenario, possible head injury equals ALS. Period. Anything less means a trip to the EMS coordinator to find out how long your suspension is.

    Employees' paychecks bounce

Unfortunately, Rid, as we continue to become a more and more socialized medicine nation, this will not happen. I am sure you are familiar with Medicare/medicaid abysmal record in reimbursement and the new regulations making it easier for them to deny an even larger number of payments...

Could Private Ambulance Have Saved Philadelphia Woman?

Great more fuel for the private vs FD debate. Have to admit, dumb policy not to ask for help when swamped. Mutual aid can be a good thing.
