I have several friends who were Medics prior to medical school. Not one of them regrets his/her decision. In fact, each of them agree, it was a good choice. Not suprising, they are all DO's. I agree however, that going to Medic class and carrying a full load would be a difficult job. Ask...

My thought exactly! Unfortunately, the OP has to do his/her own work here too. I wish outsiders could file complaints. Without direct knowledge, there is no complaint. Right now, the OP is just spouting off. There is no complaint to be had at the moment..not until a consumer makes one...

Not to sound terribly rude but, was your class exposed to open lab hours? If the instructor isn't teaching this stuff, it should have been up to the students to practice the skills to the best of their ability. Granted, to do so would be a challenge but, it can be done in a pinch. Then the class...

How people go about giving of themselves is a subjective thing, you're right. Wanting to take it as far as a Medic education is pretty dedicated...Good for you! Masters, Medic; you and only you can decide which will bring more satisfaction to your life.

Never considered nursing so no, I guess I never have been accepted to nursing school :) My degree is in accounting and in just a few more credits, EMS.... but thanks for playing anyway :rolleyes:

I thought not...just making sure I read your concerns correctly. I stand by my original thoughts...nurses are often lacking in when it comes to actual patient care capabilities. It's that null curriculum shining through again!

I don't see why this is becoming the norm. I do see why we should bill for non-citizen servies and even insurance companies of those ticketed and held at fault in a court of law. There is virutally no need to pay property taxes for firefighters if we're going to double bill our residents. We pay...
