You wont get much respect from hospital personnel if you don't have the jargon down (requires A&P and med term). Stupid but true. If you cant speak intellectually about the different parts of the body their trust decreases significantly even if you know the pathology perfectly. It is what it is.

One of my preceptors back in medic school busted my balls for saying, "the hospital will take good care of you".

lol...it seems like on the platinum tests if your patient is totally boned the right answer is always either "O2" or "rapid transport to trauma facility"

You can probably pass the test with much less work, however, remember this is a MINIMUM competency exam. Whats more important is that you ultimately study for hat poor soul that's crawling away from his crunched, busted up vehicle hoping and praying to God that you know how to help him.

fisdap and Jb learning are good sites to get you used to the types of questions that will be asked on the registry. While using these sites don't memorize...continuously ask yourself 'why' the answer is what it is. Luckily both of these test websites will give you a rationale for every question...

Regardless of whether or not you passed the exam you have a really bad attitude kid. You need to treat the people that have tried to help you with more respect...

I totally agree with the fisdap and JB being money. A good rule of thumb for good test prep is if you are constantly having to go back to your book and look up finite details. If you have a test prep that you are cruising through no problem you can bet its too easy and will lull you into a false...

how likely would it be that I got a job as a FF/Medic in any of those states? In Utah there are hundreds testing for 2 slots like every 6 months to a year. Its like impossible to get on!
