    Traveling paramedic?

Not that I'm aware of. Sadly there is a glut of paramedics most places. Some remote locations will recruit experienced medics though. They offer incentives for relocating.

How would you splint this injury?

I'd splint in place with plenty of pain management. We're never far from an ER though. Long transport time would certainly warrant reduction however I'd hate to be the one to tackle that in this case. Repeated checks of pedal pulse would be critical regardless.

I picture an unwashed bearded recluse sitting in a dark basement with a whiteboard cackling with glee as he adds another hashmark to the BBG sighting tally. Kinda sad really.

    I ain't dead

I'd be willing to do PRN for standby events ect. As for driving I'd rather stay within an hour of so of denver. I'm a paramedic. I'm not worried about pay. I'm more worried about a good work envioronment and keeping my skills current.

    I ain't dead

I comtacted highland and I'll probably do a ride out wirh them in a few weeks. I'm in a little bit of culture shock here because the services are so tiny and the call volumes are so low. I was very spoiled with CCEMS in Houston. It is beautiful here. I might just suck it up and take a part time...

    I ain't dead

Traffic? Denver doesn't have traffic. Houston has traffic, denver has a little congestion. I had to get out of Texas for a while. Texas politics are wearing me out. I'm trying to find a place to volunteer near Denver but they don't seem to be hurting for paramedics at the two places I've...

    White shirts

Depending on the area white is usually less "cop" looking. Last thing you want is to be mistaken for LE on scene. Edit: look into a product called Bluing. It's an old school way of making yellowed ahirts look white. It's basically just blue dye. You put a few drops in the wash water and your...
