    With limited resources , I've had good results with an "anesthesia bag" consisting of ketamine, (go figure) vecuronium, and versed, hung at a weight-specific rate. Had propofol, but no I.V pump :( I've never even HEARD of the drug in discussion. Then again, Army and expensive isn't even in...

    SW Asia: how well protected are in-theater medical folks and their patients?

    The biggest threat will always be IEDs. There's EFP's that can defeat tanks. So the vehicles make little difference. The best way to mitigate that is stay off the roads. Dominate the terrain. But that also requires you to be able to manuver at altitude with heavy, cumbersome armor, and...

    Next, take those maxes to about 80%, and do them in a continous curcuit (start modest, about 8 reps) with 400meter runs in between each circuit, for 35 mins. Let me know how you feel after that. :P

    More scenerios :)

    No, I mean was his next closest lymph node swollen? (Brachial plexus?) Induration is important too. Questionable hygeine, plus redness, edema, and (+/- induration)ay suggest cellulitis or another local/regional infection.

    More scenerios :)

    What do you mean by "swollen?" Any lymphadenopathy? Any redness or induration?

    Etomidate ---> Jaw clenching? Coincidence?

    Ah, i remember the first time I felt truly gross: going to a "welfare check" in a trailor park, where the guy had expired a week ago and thus was marinaing in the oven-like trailer in the florida summer. And of course, we had to go inside to find some I.D. Looked like a bowl of gumbo. In my...

    NTG for VT ?

    Depression might come from early global ischemia due to the tachycardia. In a peri-arrest rhythm, the goal is to terminate the rhythm. In the event it turns into a pulseless v-tach, we not only terminate the rhythm using juice, we terminate it or at least supress with an anti-arrythmic...
