    i got sears duty 8 inch boots for $39 on sale the red price is 65. i use them for My ems job and even going out in the woods to cut wood. A timberland boot would last forever to, i have a pair that ive had 4 years and theyre still nice

    GPS for personal use on the truck?

    Actually the other day doing some additional training required by my service, we were told if we had a gps bring it. We respond to some weird places, lots of back roads. Just get one that is trustworthy. just have good knowledge of your most common response areas

    Today i got 2 older whelen cadet beacons from my uncle. They both work, but i only have one lens. Whelen still makes the cadet but a different version. with a different lens set up. I was wondering if anyone here has one that would fit it, the model number on the light is cr-12 and the lens part...

    My company takes any new certs, But im in CT. and its a part paid part volunteer service, but i think even the local private service takes all newly certified basics. IMHO it really depends on the employer

    Homer Simpson, Nice. I'm thinking about getting superman or something along that line just to make a statement, Only problem is i wear an 8in. boot on duty. Oh well. some people just look for reasons to complain. This story is a perfect example.

    All i can say is WOW! IMHO as long as they are not an issue for patient care. Who cares?! Any way, socks usually are hidden underneath pants, unless they are wearing shorts, either way. This is ridiculous.

    Dual Paramedic v. Medic/Basic

    Our company just requires driver and emt-b, and there can be a third rider of any level, We have medic intercepts in my area, the medics drive fly cars and either meet us at the highway or on scene. A normal crew for us, is driver, emt, and EMR/MRT which in ct is just under emt basic.

    actually pretty good, only two needed medical attention and transport, alot fell but got right back up. so for a 12 hour shift we had it quite easy.

    my local private service starts medics at 25 an hour and emts are around 15. This is in CT.
