True! Though PHTLS podcasted their "Trauma: A-Z" lectures from the JEMS convention from a year or two back. Those are some of my favourite podcasts to listen to (both because the lecturers are hilarious, and the content is good.) Maybe we'll see more stuff like that appearing, where companies...

Words to live by. "It's not your emergency" from one of my old instructors comes to mind. Bringing calm to an otherwise chaotic situation is the job of emergency services. The most experienced paramedics get calmly (but with focus) out of their rigs, even on calls that would freak out most people.

To add to that, a cop that was doing a drug seminar at NCEMSF last year had a story about a guy that managed to chew/tear himself out of his handcuffs... again, PCP. (also, 2-3 tazers, 5 cops, etc...) (Robin williams voice: ) "It's a hell of a drug"

We spent quite a huge chunk of time on this during our training. It's not a simple call, and should be a thorough (but quick) discussion between dispatchers and on-scene responders. Quick confirmations about the patient's current status and immediate risks that require expedited or specialist...
