Lol it's been a while since I worked in the metro. I used to be Medic 80 (ODS) for AMR when they took over ValCo 911. Worked for Living Cross before that.

    Galveston, TX

They are perpetually hiring. League City is a much better service, however, and we will be hiring soon. Still in Galveston County, but much much better

    Galveston Area Ambulance Authority? Input?

Oh, and as a medic you'd be on a 911 truck. The only time a medic rides transfers is for an ALS split, where they take the attendant paramedic off a 911 truck and splits a NET truck so that they can take an ALS transfer somewhere (usually to a vent farm or LTAC)

    Galveston Area Ambulance Authority? Input?

Avoid GAAA like the plague. Currently understaffed, all vacation requests have been suspended. Mandatory 1-2 unpaid on call days a month, with an almost guarantee you'll be called in to work (you get OT if you get called in, but nothing otherwise). Right now running 2x fixed 24s a week, so 48...

Yea, BCFD still uses a mixed crew at times from what I have heard. The Lomas and Broadway Starbucks used to always have a 55 convention when I lived down the road. That still a popular posting spot?

They still cover Alamo and Dona Ana County last I heard. Plus they're IFT in ABQ and 911 for all of Valencia County. That hasn't changed since I was ODS for them before I moved to TX. DAC AMR isn't bad. Alamo is still 'special'.

Any news on an ESO EHR app coming to Apple devices?

My agency has been asking about it. All we are told it's being ported, but no word on timeframe.

    Disposable ETT cuff manometer

That looks like the best option. I contacted the distributor to find an option for getting one or two. If the price is low enough maybe I can convince my bosses to get therm. Boundtree is asking 1k/bx though

    Disposable ETT cuff manometer

Looking for a small disposable manometer to keep in my work bag. The AG Cuffil looks good but I can't find pricing info or a purchase point. I do enough tubes the last two years that I'm interested in finding one. Plus I know my service looks at it as an unneeded expense
