I'm also a full time student and I babysit for a local family while the parents work. During the summer I have raft guided and I have worked for a wilderness therapy outfitter as field staff. I'm applying to work for Outward Bound on their Utah river courses next season.

These are actually used for training not mission use. I would, however, like the training gear to be in good order so that things can be better simulated. These are also not used in EMS. They are for a SAR team.

I think the great medics are knowledgable themselves but they are also concerned about the rest of the crew's ability and knowledge. The EMT can make or break a critical call for a medic.

My class was the length of a college semester. I think there's a reason that program is known for producing good EMTs.
