    School Nurse Wanna Be's

Oh well then by all means pick your medical profession. You cant even guarentee a paramedic has had a traditional anatomy class. Training isnt the same as education, sorry but it isnt. This isnt a personal attack it just isnt the same. And why do paramedics get their panties in a bunch...

    Scene Safety....

Devastation of that magnitude, I think you have to make a personal decision I don't think sitting here I could determine how I would react. In my book not just the firefighters but anyone who set aside personal safety to help their fellow man should be considered a hero.

On duty firemen denied from 9/11 commemoration

If they weren't in the the middle of a labor dispute would they have been allowed to attend? I applaud those who attended even faced with discipline.

    Paramedic Patient Contact

Unfortunately your just going to have to see patients there is no shortcut. Sick and not sick should come pretty quick, the origin of that sickness is going to come with education and experience.

    How to fix EMS

Then you should be pissed at the entire medical profession, they have been using the sick snd elderly as a meal ticket for years. I was speaking to Fast65, everyone wants to "fix EMS" until it affects them personally, then not so much. I make a livable wage, the problem is you have...

    How to fix EMS

Yeah why would he be concerned with something that would take away the ability to financially provide for his family. Ridiculous. Would you be thrilled if they made paramedic school a masters degree education level after you finished medic school and forced you to work as an EMT for eight...

EMT Scope of Practice and Private BLS companies policy

California is officially the worst EMS system in the country. First explain to me how refusing to transport a patient doesn't constitute negligence. And then explain to me what you think a paramedic is going to do for a patient with a low H and H and a pressure in the toilet, if they cant...

    NYPD vs FDNY

Im pretty sure I could be trained to do just about anything including extrication. The real question is what would be the benefit of having me do it opposed to the fire department.

This about sums it up, I haven't heard or read of anyone in EMS facing litigation for a violation of HIPAA. I wouldn't go posting sensitive information on your facepage though.

Boss Says No Tatoos or Piercings, Is Legal?

Looks natural to who? You? I see no difference, besides one is accepted one isn't. If you would like to disqualify a whole group of employers for having tattoos, it's your right. I don't base decisions on appearance, nor do I form opinions because I don't have the ability to see...

    NEMSA for LA Co

The biggest one being we accept it. I'm lucky to work for a service that believes in fair wage and respected treatment of their employees, otherwise I wouldnt be in EMS.

Boss Says No Tatoos or Piercings, Is Legal?

Actually I don't see any difference, one is accepted form of decor the other isn't. Im sure makeup had it's critics as well when first introduced.

Boss Says No Tatoos or Piercings, Is Legal?

The owner has the right to do what he so chooses in accordance with the CBA including cutting him however he is still on the hook for the guaranteed portion of his salary. And just about every player in the NFL has tatoos, so Im sure he isnt going to want to set that precedent.

    NEMSA for LA Co

Reputable companies have come to the conclusion in nearly every industry that everyone is not created equal, retaining good staff is a priority and they are willing to pay for that security. Its cheaper in the long run to pay for competent professionals then deal with the mess created by...

Football players sue over head injuries!

NFL players are compensated even if injured. Yes I agree some players didnt fully disclose the extent of their injuries, but what about the players who were pressured to return by medical staff, coaches and owners? The NFL has a well documented history of this behavior and one that will be...

Football players sue over head injuries!

They were informed by educated medical staff employed by NFL teams they were fine to return, they werent that constitutes negligence If that happened in any other profession we wouldnt stand for it but because their considered over paid by some their work related injuries are dismissed, seen...
