Yes this is what I hear also. Every neighboring county's websites I go to only lists Firemedic on it's employment opportunities section. Either that or you might need to know people who know people and get a good letter of recommendation to bump up your application towards the top of the stack.
I heard off the grapevine that on the computer based NREMT exam if you answered the first five questions given, your exam would be less difficult than an exam of some other person who hadn't answered the first five questions correctly. This may be a silly question regardless but just curious.
At my school we are required to wear:
Grey polo w/ school embroidery and a nametag
Navy Blue Pants; EMT pants or ****ies style work pants
Black Socks
Black Boots/work shoes
we are also required to have a stethoscope and safety glasses.
