Liberty is OK. Pay is horrible (last year it was around 12-14 dollars for a medic). But, you do work 72/96 96/72 schedule so you make up with OT. Full time means you are away from friends/family for half a year with that schedule. You are first in 911 though, a lot of trauma on those highways...

Private ALS sin LA county is degrading, no respect... no automu either... start an IV? You better be caking base immediately after that or else.... the only pro is that some companies pay high 20s low 30s per hour for medics ... where as neighboring counties still pay 12-17 for medics

They pay for the whole shift for medics... not sure about EMTs... medic pay hourly is extremely low, but due to the amount of hours scheduled per pay period you make up for it.

When I interviewed recently the only shortage mentioned was medics... Hall is hiring EMTs however.
