I can tell you that R/M is hiring medics and offering sign on bonuses. Everyone that I've talked to seems to think the AMR merger will only bring good things.

How about Knoxville,TN. Beautiful city, close to the mountains, high call volume larger city with a college atmosphere.

Lots of options. Rural/Metro is hiring and needs people bad. They have the city and county 911 contract. You also have Priority, Life Guard and Life Care EMS. They all run back up 911 for R/M and pay a little more, but are mostly IFT/BLS work. I won't give you my opinion on any of the above as...

Some contracts require an ALS only response on anything that comes through the 911 system.
