the most rediculous call I got was for a "unknown medical problem", when we got their the chick had her suitcare and a couple bags of extra clothes ready. When asked what was wrong, she relplied, " my dad is just giving me a hard time". She also requested going to a facility that was about 50...
I'm not a big fan at all of the ****ies. I buy the tru-spec from a army navy surplus store. The chick that owns the place buys ALOT of the tru-speck bdu pants for the ems agencies
they say that the majority of EMT's suffer from some level of PTSD or Compassion Fatigue. I've also learned that suicide is a leading caust of death for EMS providers(in some cities suicide is)

start initian assesment so I would start her on some 15L non-rebreather reassess vitals ever 5-10 minutes, contact hospital and give patient stats, arrive at hospital, etc.
yeah, I don't agree with selective BSI because of MRSA running rampant, I'm never too careful. Even if you fell and need help getting up you're see me with my gloves on.
The only reason I could see a EMT of any level starting CPR on somebody with Rigor mortis is if the PT was a family member. But still, our training tells us that once we see pooling or dependency or if there is a un-shockable rythm then there is no saving unless you're ALS and can...
