Just curious, in some emt job posting that I've seen the driver salary is listed at $1-$2/hr more than the attendant. Is there some reason for this? Aren't both jobs pretty much interchangeable?

When you are transporting a patient with an IV and you increase in elevation what happens to the rate of the IV? It seems to me that with less atmospheric pressure at higher elevations the rate of the IV would decrease. As you decrease in elevation the rate would increase. What I heard in class...
Has anyone here ever had their credit checked when applying for a job? I very much want to get into EMT but do not want to invest my time and money into training if I wont be able to find a job.
Does anyone know if they perform a credit check as part of the EMT certification in California? And if so will my bad credit history prevent me from getting certified?
