Hey folks,
Yes, I know, this is a very FAQ. Just testing the waters on any possible new companies/ones hiring a simple Google search isn't showing.
I'm mainly looking for Part Time during the days, as my current job I am about to move to 4 to midnight (yay, getting of the grave yard)...
Ahh crap, I did write that. I usually check this at work... at 0400... SO who knows what I ment to say.
And I agree. I moved out here for the misses. Miss the South sometimes.
It's renewed my intrest in Security/Law Enforcement, if mostly because I work in a casino and I've gotten burnt out with rejection letters for fire departments and seizure paitents.
Know it's a little old, but had to reply.
I don't like cig smoke, but it's kind of hard not to be around as I work in a casino enviroment that allows it. My response to it? Get used to it, and/or go outside for fresh air.
Main reason I've turned down some jobs for private companies is due to the fact I'm making more at a casino doing the EMT thing. Just sucks having to suck down all this cigerate smoke.
Just more the hiring process, really. I still have my Arkansas EMT current, though I let my NREMT lapse. Was also curious if it was a good company to work for, if you staft out part time till after probation or full time, etc. All I can think of at the moment
Hey guys,
Just curious about this company. I'm really considering looking at moving back to Arkansas (cost of living alone is driving me nuts out in the Sacramento, California area) and was wondering if anyone here had any information about them. I was aware of them but I grew up about 2...
Also, look at the casinos. I'm currently employed with Red Hawk Casino (up the 50 in Placerville, east to Tahoe) just to keep incoming coming in and keep working as am EMT. On that note, however, you'll most likly do duel job titles. (Security/EMT myself.)
I have been looking at potential Paramedic programs in the Sacramento area as well. Glad to know of another available outaide of the ARC/Los Rios district.
Hey guys. I know, long time, no see.
Just seeing if anyone knows the typical process in regards to SacMetro's hiring for the EMT-B positions? Recently took the written test on 4-16. Guess you can say I'm really anxious to get away from the smokey enviroment that is being an EMT at a Casino...
I'm 1/2 (Still unknown on second one honestly.) Both times at a casino I work at. The first one I still remember the guys face. We did compressions for about 15 minutes before ALS finially arrived. According to our AED Zoll report, we had him back into a a slight rythem for 2 minutes. Second...
Thought I'd let you guys know that I have another interview on Monday. This time with NorCal in Sacramento. I've brushed up and hopefully worked out my interview kinds, but still kinda nervous.
If nothing comes from this, still checking out the Air Force medical field at least for more...
Didn't get it. Not for sure what really happened unless I just didn't pass the written test. (I am not a very good test taker in general)
I feel for a fact I did good on the oral interview. Driving me nuts what I didn't do well on.
Ohh well, first EMT interview. Hope to get more going...
Yeah, defiantly try laminating. Did not even think of that route. Ended up ordering a wallet from qmuniforms.com that seems to be working fine. Trifold with a slip for a clip-on badge, and larger, less "sucking" plastic. My NREMT card was the only one being demolished, though. Something about...
