Relax. Remember the basics, ABC, CAB. Read every question and all the possible answers all the way through before choosing your response. Good luck!

There were several students in the EMT-B class that I went through that were "top" in the class ... but the tests were set up so the students took them at home, with the textbook readily available. Those "top" students got top-notch grades on the tests right up to the final which was a proctored...

Congratulations! I know exactly how you felt ... my experience was almost exactly the same!

I took the NREMT in January, and of the 71 questions I had on the test five of them were on calculating burn percentages!! After question No. 3 I began to second guess myself and thought I must be really messing them up ... but it must have just been a fluke.

Thanks to all of you for your quick responses. I agree that no education is a waste, I need to decide which path will be the right one for me and the community.

I went through EMT training to volunteer with my local ambulance service. The service is a BLS that is run entirely on volunteers. I love working with the patients and have thought about continuing on into medic school, but will the extra education be of any use if our service is only BLS? Or...
