What if he killed his partner or himself in the process? I don't mean to what-if this to death, but he did a foolish thing to make himself out to be a hero. Same reason on MVA/MVC's we position the ambulance where it WON'T get hit by traffic whenever possible...preferably on the other side of...
Yeah...they seem to not like our boots on our soil. A few of 'em flipped me off while I was running on base...unless that's their way of saying hello :)
I wouldn't use CPAP in an unconscious patient with agonal respirations. A good BLS airway with gentle bagging to avoid gastric inflation is better than nothing. If you had to crich this patient, then so be it...If your protocols allowed for nasal intubation, that's another option, though we...
With the drawdown of forces in Iraq, we're seeing a shift in the medical responsibilities here. At Balad, where I'm at for now, they're telling us they're planning on making this the central hub for the medical care in Iraq. We'll see how well this place holds up once they transfer care of the...
The "nasties" might be in their system, but the problems may not manifest until later. You may only see localized pain in your prehospital patient care, but if left untreated, the phlebitis can cause edema to the site, blood vessel wall deterioration, extravasation of what is being infused -...
Kettlebells, baby....

I concur. I don't want/need any songs or poems written on my behalf. There is a subculture of paraprofessionals who identify with them and need them on a t-shirt or bumper sticker...but it's not for me, sorry.
Don't read too much into your questions....take what the question asks and answer that part of it only. Again, the original question is asking about left-sided failure only...which could lead to dependent edema, but your first symptom will be the rales. Had the question asked about right-sided...
If you remember from A&P how the circulation of blood to and from the heart goes, you should be able to fairly quickly point out the answer they're looking for. You may be able to memorize the answer to this question, but are you learning the flow of blood around the body? Clues like these can...
Sabaton, Earth Crisis, Counting Crows.
I tend to like the selection on slacker radio better, but Pandora is starting to win me back. But since I can only get slacker to work in Iraq, slacker wins right now by default.
