Been a bit since I've been on here. Last time I was, I had posted a thread inquiring on additional material to utilize in order to test out for my CCP-C and TP-C. Was told it was pointless to have said cert because experience is what counted. Well, couple years later, I obtained one of said...
Looking to get my TP-C through IBSC. Anyone on here taken the test and passed? If so, what material did you use. I have pretty recent prior military experience and am currently using Kyle Faudree's "Tactical Paramedic: Certification and Application" book to study out of. Anyone have any...
Our point is no 2 certs, classes, or anything else are the same and so you can therefore always learn something new. The impact of what you learned, no matter how small or similar can impact everything you do in this practice. That is why I say everything matters. I get where you're coming from...
Agreed. Nothing wrong with striving for more. There's always something else you can learn and therefore earn. Been in ems for 8 years now, earned 2 degrees, work as a ft firefighter/paramedic, and currently teach part time at the University that taught me Paramedicine. I'm actually waiting on...
Not sure if that's sarcasm or not so I'm just gonna say thanks.....maybe.....I think? 😆 I guess I'd be lying if I said I don't take pride in my accomplishments as I think any healthy individual should. It's honestly not the soul motivator though. I've got reasons I'd rather not go into with...
Well like I said, we can agree to disagree. Don't honestly know how we got here to begin with seeing as my post was on the topic of "study material recommended", not the reasoning behind why I'm trying to get a second cert. At any rate, thanks for stopping by and expressing your feelings...
The benifit is that it show you went the extra mile. It also shows you have a broader education because you've went out of your way to learn more about things like CAMTS, Emtala, and Haddon's Matrix. Often times, career progression boils down to inches when it comes to selecting candidates. I...
Well, you're entitled to your opinion. I don't feel the same. Everything matters in this field. No where is this notion more important than in the world of crit care. I believe how one approaches their career says everything about them. That includes their education which is what a cert denotes...
They may be near but definitely not the same. I know for a fact CCP-C is harder. The sample questions are not at all like the FPC. Different caliber of test measuring different aspects of txp and tx. If it were the same, IBSC wouldn't have both. It may seem pointless but it could be the one...
