All calls are at minimum EMT Medic... Alpha calls are the only ones ran code 2... There is a BLS division on the horizon and it will be called patients plus. They will not be absorbed into the 911 system, except for maybe 5150's but that hasn't been confirmed yet.
No clue eithe. We have coded calls which are alpha, bravo,Charlie, delta, echo. And there is numbers associated with them depending on the type on call. Like you mentioned 9 for cardiac arrest, I'm pretty sure it's coded as a 9Echo1. But no one really knows the numbers unless you run a lot of the...
There has actually been even more then that. Unfortunately even though the app is online, the link is shut down and I believe they are working off the list of apps they currently have. What you need to do is contact the recruiter in Texas.... Good luck
I get as a company overall they aren't hurting, but it seems like slowly their contracts are slipping away. It was said that ALCO accounted for some 40% of AMR's overall income. Im sure loosing BLS contracts isn't helping the matter
It's apart of Alameda County protocol. Seems to be the best way to reduce the risk of getting ROSC back and having the pt's system begin working so hard to recover from the "event", that you turn around and loose the pt again. Its been proven that if you are able to slow the heart as well as the...
I heard recently that AMR lost ALCO,SCCO kaiser contracts. Anyone know about this? They lost 911 contracts in both of those areas, now BLS? That's gotta hurt if its true.
Good idea. It's pretty safe to say that right now the hr department is a little overwhelmed. They will get back to you if you meet the qualifications for an interview.
Yea sorry it's all dependent on what county level the paramedic is. If they are level 1 (new medics) they work with level 3 (more expierience).... Level 3 medics however can work medic/EMT units.
Alot of what your saying is infact false. I'll lay a few of the rumors to rest.
They are using a priority dispatch system. As you know we get sent code 3 to some very rediculous calls, so with this new system we will get sent code 2 (not dual Emt, all units are staffed with 2 medics) tO the...
Although the changes are listed in the RFP,which I did state in my blog, they were put there because they were things PP+ wanted to bring to the table. Such as the dispatch program they are going to go with. I think PP+ will overall be a better company to work for then AMR, regardless if the...
