Hi there!
Maybe I'm just an incompetent google researcher, but I can't figure out what exactly I need to recert in LA County, or if it's even possible. Any help would be appreciated! Basically I've been working in a totally unrelated field for the past few years and unfortunately let my certs...
We started with 47 and the number eventually whittled down to 20 or 25 people at the end of the final day of class.
It was pretty depressing, since the majority of them failed on the last day when they didn't get at least 240 out of 300 on their final.
I agree with LucidResq. I felt like I learned a lot more on my ER clinicals and they definitely boosted my confidence level for my ride outs. Taking vitals for 8 hours straight in triage might be freaking boring, but you don't wanna have your first go at vitals in the back of the rig on a bumpy...
It really depends. Cliché answer, but it's true.
I just passed my EMT class, but I had to drop out of one class out of three last semester. EMT class wasn't hard, per se, but I focused all of my attention on it. To me it was a huge distraction. I ended up neglecting my math class completely...

It might be a little embarrassing to start treating the wrong...

In the off-season I like photography, drums, guitar, mountain biking... I'm going to try surfing this summer though to keep my balance up to par for winter.
Erm, yes... what's in my bag.
- laptop
- gum
- calculator
- power bar
- snowboard wax
- screwdriver
- screws
- flashlight
- ski mask
- albuterol inhaler
- some sumatriptan
- water bottle
- notebooks
- pens and pencils
I'm either on the slopes or at school.
I can't comment on the medic program since I'm in the basic program, but for now, to their defense, they don't advocate that they're the best. The people that are enrolled in the class are there because they want to be there. They aren't being misled. At the orientations they do take the time to...
