I might be moving to Colorado from Indiana after I get done with my EMT class in late May. Will my certification transfer states, or is that not a thing?
Will do. Thank you.Typically each state has their own certification process. They usually seem to be fairly similar, and straightforward.
Try googling the reciprocity process for CO at your provider level.
Awesome, thanks. If you have your nremt it will transfer very easily to Colorado.
Gotcha. Will do. Not to sound stupid, but do we take the NREMT at the end of the class, or is it a separate thing?https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/cdphe/ems-provider-certification
All's you have to do is go there. Fill out the application. Mail in your fingerprints with a check and about a week or so later you should have your Colorado license. But you need your nremt first.
Awesome. I start class tomorrow, so I'll remember that for later. Thank you for the help/advice.After you finish class the school will do a final practical usually then tell you to go take the nremt. Every state is different. Your instructors should have more info.
