Who's the Better Medic: Frank Burns or Hawkeye Pierce?

Hawkeye. Hands down.
 
Hawkeye, but if we're talking real life scenario Burns will have a job much longer. I try to stay somewhere in the middle.
 
If the system was composed of all Hawkeyes, then nothing would ever get done. Every new rule would be challenged and change would be difficult to execute.
 
A third coice BJ Hunnicut he was a cross between Hawkeye and Frank or maybe Colonol Potter.

I agree whole-heartedly to a point. Whose better? Frank? Hawkeye?

The answer is only one of these. The best medic (or doctor in the show) would be someone who had the knowledge, training, skill, and experience to think both within and outside the box and looking/being professional while doing it. He/she also needs to know when to lead and when not to lead and be good enough and respected enough to back it all up.

There's only been one who ever really did that consistantly. Only one doctor, hypothetical medic, patient advocate, and leader... Colonel Sherman Tecumseh Potter of the M. A. S. H. 4077th
 
Dr Ferret Face had no learning curve.

According to him he never made mistakes.

Charles Thurston Winchester III, all the way. He wasn't much of an army brat and knew how to throw a joke and take one. At the same time he was an excellent surgeon and valued doing something right. Wasn't too showey, like Frank, not too wreckless like Hawkeye and not too quiet like BJ.
