I recently heard you cannot orally inject water while in shock, what is the reason for that? Can the stomach just not have anything in it when your body is going through that?

Orally inject?

Orally ingest?

Lack of perfusion.

Did you mean 'ingest' because injecting implies needles are involved and that doesn't usually happen 'orally'.

When you are in 'shock' often your digestive tract shuts down because your brain has moved all your bodies attention to the fight or flight equipment. This can make your stomach more prone to upset. Having a tummy real full of water when your system is shutting down the digestive tract can make you puke it back up.

Based on the way the question was asked, I'm giving you a very simple answer in very basic terms because it doesnt' sound like you have a lot of education in Anatomy & Physiology.

my bad i was writing something else out and didnt erase it and wrote it another way. and no im not very familiar with the way the body works is medical situations which is why i am asking the question
