Hello all,
Just a short bio on me which will well help you give me advice.
1 South Korean citizen
2 Lived abroad for aporoximately 17 years
3 Grew up in Queens, N.Y
4 No greencard
Certifications:
AHA HS/AED, BLS, ACLS
NREMT EMT B
RMI WEMT
Fluently bilingual(Kor/Eng) with intermediate Japanese
STCW SSO, BS SF, MPIC
PADI Rescue diver
ROK Army infantry
Junior instructor@ Boxing, Kyokushinkan karate
Rock climbing and basic rope work safety
Studying for PHTLS, AEMT books only
So the condondrum I am in is that I certified but can't work in the US
because of my citizenship and I can't work in Korea because of my US certs.
I am trying to get reciprocation but the Korean medical board says it had never
been done before and not likely to happen but I am still waiting to hand in my application so we will see what will come of it.
I really don't know what to do or where to go from here. I would really like to get
back to the States as it is home for me but there is this huge issue with sponorship and work permits. If that isn't possible, I would like to work on a rig at the very least.
Any advice on how I can make this happen? Really got my eyes on becoming a Paramedic.
Additionally I got an offer from a outsourcing company to work as a hospital aide(mostly cleaning beds)and would like to know if this offer is worth while. The pay is horrible@1200USD equiv a month.
Really need advice from you all out there![Frown :( :(](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Cheers,
Tae
