What's a good way to get to a teams team

I work for an ambulance company that provides tems team members to the swat team. What are the classes I should go through to get the needed certa and make my self more a better canidate. I work for the fire dept as well as this company and have very little tactical exprince. Im thinking about the air guard as a way to get experience ( I was planning on joining pirior to this) do you guys have any sugesstions?
