My paramedic class/instructor is looking for more virtual patient assessments such as this one, http://www.amazon.com/Virtual-Patient-Encounters-Paramedic-Textbook/dp/0323049346.
What we've been doing is every day 1-3 people get an assessment, we do the whole thing as a class.
At first it's treated like a 1 on 1 assessment, one plays the medic the other plays the patient. We incorporate all the things we've learned up to that point. Once the assessment is over we review it as a class with the instructor and talk about what we thought was wrong, find out what really was wrong, and then discuss the mechanics/whys of that particular patient and why the drugs we chose, would have chosen worked and what else would have worked.
It's worked really well so far and we found those patient assessments above that are really cool but there only a few of them and even doing 1 a day it didn't take very long to go over them all.
Are there any other things like this out there?
