Triple Fatal in Rumney, NH

RUMNEY, N.H. -- Officials said three young people died after a car went into the Baker River in Rumney just before 9 a.m. Sunday.

Police said the crash happened on Buffalo Road near the Rumney Climbing Rocks area. Some people nearby ran to help but there was nothing they could do until rescue crews arrived.

Emergency workers said the 1998 Toyota Corolla had left the roadway, struck several trees, gone down over an embankment and ended up in the river.
