I have an idea for the industrial learners we teach first aid to. It requires some unpackaged and packaged first aid supplies, and one of the client company's kits.
I tried teaching what the first aid tools are, what they look like, demonstrate how to use, have a couple people try it (if not all), THEN told them what they were good for. I also showed them the equivalent items in their company's first aid kit.
Actually, they seemed to "get it" better. This is basic first aid with some specialty stuff tacked on (in this case, shrapnel or other penetrating wounds were accented).
I will try to refine this. Any thoughts or experiences with similar?
