Hello,
I just became nationally certified as an EMT-B on 12/09/2019 and applied for the Texas EMT License the next day. I read on the dshs.texas.gov website that it takes 4-6 weeks to get my license but I have been waiting 12 weeks so far and still havent received it. I'm curious if anyone else in Texas has or had this happen to them and could tell me if this should be something to worry about or not. After the first six weeks a 2nd application popped up on my profile, which I can only assume was started by dshs, and that one is called "Initial Emergency Medical Technician in progress". This application has been in the OPEN status for 6 going 7 weeks now and I have heard anything from the state about it, even after a few emails and phone calls that just prompt me to leave a message.
