I am going into an interview for Doctors ambulance co. for position as EMT-B and its my first interview. Im sure alot have you have gone through the interview process for an EMT-B and was wondering what questions they ask so i am as prepared as possible. I know they do an aptitude test before hand but i wanna know what situational questions they ask and what kind of answers they are looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's an EMT school down here that I went to, and one of my classmates who I think was named Mike also had an interview at doctors. So I figured it was you, haha. Don't worry about it! lol
 
haha o i see. ya i was hoping to get someone who interviewed with doctors to chime in and say what they said
 
Wear a suit, shake hands firmly, look in the eye. Those 3 things got me my current job.


When my interview was over, the HR manager asked "Did your parents ever teach you how to interview?"

I said "Yes, why?"

"Because I never have a 20 year old wear a suit, shake my hand firmly, and look me directly in the eye when speaking to me... you'll be getting a letter"
 
so got back from my interview. I think it went well. Not excellent but well.
I was told ill be contacted in a couple weeks. It depends on how many of the current emts will be accepted into medic school that will determine how many openings there are. so im not getting my hopes up.

ill keep you guys posted.
 
in the mean time i figure ill submit apps to anywhere and everywhere to see what happens. but nobody is hiring
