Has anyone been using this in there department yet. We have been checking them out and it appers they are very cool but they go for 100$ for a box of 10 seems very high for a sheet of plastic. Specialy when u have 200- 300 patients a mounth. thats 3000$ in plastic.
Just woundering if its a nice thing to have or is the old sheet method still the way to stay.

Thanks

We used the samples they sent us with a new stretcher on some heavier patients, and they do make it easier to slide someone over. As with you, we aren't going to be actively stocking these because of the cost.

I would like to eventually propose that we keep them stocked, but sparingly. Keep a few on each truck, and place on the stretcher when we have a rather large patient.

We have used them at my service as well, but due to the prohibitive cost, keep them for use on bariatric patients only (in place of a slide board). They work very well once you get the hang of it. If you don't position it right, then its just useless...

I havent heard of them. The price seems pretty uncoventional due to the fact of high patient volumes. I dont know if stryker was thinking when the came up with this one.

It's meant to stay on the gurney and only be use as a transfer device once you tear a tab off in the corner allowing air to come into the sheet making it slideable. So you would really only use it as often as you use a slideboard... They have made it as a slideboard replacement.
