the anti theft switch can be found in ambulances made by Crestline. The anti theft switch when activated lets the engine run without the keys in the ignition.

the anti theft switch can be found in ambulances made by Crestline. The anti theft switch when activated lets the engine run without the keys in the ignition.

Ambulances at two agencies I work for have the same feature. One agency's features allows you to let the rig run idle while taking the keys out through an electronic switch that keeps the engine on, but kills the engine when the brake is depressed, effectively turning the ambulance off. The other agency has a kill switch that, electronically, doesn't allow the brake to be depressed, ergo the ambulance can't be taken out of park.
