So I'm told that EMT pants aren't the same sizes as regular pants. I start training next week and need emt pants I'm a 34x34 pants so is that what I'd get for emt pants? thanks

Are there specific ones you need to buy? (Brand ,style)
Your best bet is a pair of ****ies from Walmart. they are Cheap , you can try them on and they look professional. Don't drop a lot of money on something you won't be wearing for long.

EMT pants are measured the exact same as all other pants... Some brands run bigger or smaller just like normal pants...

So yes just buy your normal size but like any pair of pants don't be surprised if the sizing is off if you don't try them on.

What compelled you to ask the forum this? It's just such an odd question.

I think what they meant was EMS workers tend to wear bigger pants than the average person. (Because of their physical size)

Maybe I have been unlucky with the ones I use or have used in the past, but I have to wear a 38to 40 ems pant while I wear a 34 or 36 in jeans and other pants.

My Propper EMS pants are the same size as my jeans/khakis.

I have a pair of black proper tactical pants.

They have an elastic waist. Awesome pants. Wish I could wear them at work.

And they are really cheap for BDUs of quality at $30.

Yeah - Propper makes good stuff that isn't as pricey as comparable 5.11 products. With that said, though, if the company's buying I'd take 5.11 kit over Propper. ;)
