Soldier accused of posing as firefighter in Texas

Haha! What a nutcase. I think it's more funny that he posed as an undercover cop, and tried to actually pull over a cop. He sounds like he's just insane.

Sounds like that might be the case. If he really wants to be a firefighter, he should just become a firefighter. Find a small town where he can put a lightbar on his car to respond.

I think he was trying to play LEO by pulling over an undercover cop.

Hernandez was arrested July 15 after he tried to pull over an undercover police officer while driving in the 3200 block of Copper Avenue, police said.

Police said he attempted "to stop the officer by flashing his vehicle's lights" and using an air horn and siren. He ordered the officer to use his turn signal as he chased him, according to an affidavit.

The officer did not stop for Hernandez because he was responding to a request for emergency backup at the time, the affidavit said.

The officer eventually stopped in an area where there were other officers, police said.

When the officers arrested Hernandez, they found a police scanner, an emergency light bar, and plastic wrist restraints, police said.

For some reason this part makes me the most suspicious. As the Fire Chief asked ... what has this guy done while out pretending to be a public servant?

Sounds like Spc. Hernandez will soon be dishonorably discharged private citizen Hernandez. Which will most likely be a large stumbling block to ever becoming a firefighter or Police officer. On the other hand maybe he can try to impersonate a correction officer while in jail.

I'm sure the other prisoners will love that!
