ok well my funny just happened to be me being taken in by my own truck!!!
the first time i was sick i knew i was, i usually get pneumonia at least once per year if not more. well i also have asthma, so lets just say i get really sick. well i am trying to ignore that i cant breathe all day. i used my inhaler so many time i think it was empty by the end of the day. any who......i finish my shift cuz i dont call out or go home early. i am sitting in the computer room and i stand up and just fall right over. evidently i was like a pretty shade of blue. my partner thought i was joking around and didnt really say anything for the first minute until i was still on the ground. well i refused to get transported i mean who wants there own truck to take them in and im stubborn as hell. so the capt at the time comes in and picks me up as i am trying to walk to my truck and go home, well he threw me over his shoulders and im pretty light so it wasnt that hard and puts me in his personal vehicle cuz he said i was fighting to much. well they get me to the ER and the nurse thought it was our crew playing a joke on them again and started laughing. so i get treated and get sent home and i wasnt supposed to drive cuz i was shaking from the neb they gave me so i get taken home in my rig!!!! and when i come in the AM for my shift i find that i have been replaced for the day and was sent to bed. so i go to the bunks and i find everyone sitting in there laughing at me and yelling at me too ciz i didnt tell them what was wrong. they also laughed at how light i was and that they had no problem picking me up and threated that if i did that agian it would be trauma naked for me.
the next time was freaking funny! and so goes in the books as sarah had a da-da-da day!!!
okay we got a calll no big deal! go to get in the truck and it wont start. try a couple of thing and fig we'll take the other one. so we go to get out and i wasnt payiong attention adn missed the step and fell out. well lets just say my knee hit so hard io cracked my knee cap!! well im yelling and laughing at the same time and so is my partner. so i try to get up and when i do the truck goes crazy. the siren and lights go off by themselves. wtf!!!! so i trun around and when i do i take that same knee and get it smashed between the door and the truck so i am once agin on the floor. well we are all laughing so hard that i start to cry pain and the ridiculousness of this situation. so we get in the other truck and i am hopping on one foot throughout the call i drive cuz i cant move my knee it is so swollen. we get back to the station and i try to play ot off that im fine and whatever. well the capt. see's me adn i have to tell him theis whole story and i show him my knee. he laughs and makes me leave. i didnt want to i wanted to finish my shift but i was once agian over ruled. i was out for a month before they even considered letting me work on the knee. i wanted to go nback the next day. well all in all i am clutzy and have monents at my own expense. there are many more and is you wanna hear more let me now cuz if i cant laugh at my own self what is the fun in it.
