Seems the family was only told that their mother was taken to the hospital by mistake, not told why it happened. They read about it in the paper and are now suing.

First, with the title, though someone was playing with the doc-lings in the ED

Terrible. The facility should have owned up to the mistake immediatly.

Better question... What training does the Mourge Transporter have? How did HE screw this up - Yes, chain of errors, but still, should have double-checked.
