It may be a silly question, but I couldn't find any answer on it here, nor on the FEMA nor the NREMT website.....
I'm a first time EMS provider, just last week passed my NREMT and awaiting the official certification to take to the county for licensing.
Looking at job possibilities I noticed that here and there, pending on county its a must to have or good to have certain certs from FEMA.
I noticed on FEMA's website that those also qualify, small fraction though, for CEUs.
My initial research on this site here showed me that basically any earned CEUs have to be submitted "manually" to local EMS for consideration.
But my question is - will they count from the day on that I successfully passed NREMT or when I have received the license?
I already took one intro class prior to NREMT but now have the time and clear mind to do the other "popular" ones.
Anyone can satisfy my curiosity? If its needed, I'm in Alameda County, California
Thanks!
