I am currently a basic and am enrolled in an intermediate class set to begin this month. Is it difficult to transition from basic to intermediate in terms of workload? My concern is that an disproportional amount of time will be required for the workload of intermediate while at the same time being enrolled in 19 credit hours at my university. I wish to take intermediate because I have had no luck getting a job as a basic. I have not much time to earn patient care experience so I thought to increase my job opportunities with intermediate but will this detract from my studies? Thank you in advance.

Don't waste your time. I'm not expert but from what I gather intermediates are not widely used. Why not Medic?? Or if it's solely job related as to why you want to do an intermediate course why not just do a phlebotomy course instead and then apply for ER tech positions?? Just my 2 cents. Good though (:

school is more important.
