So, the written test and HOBET were today. I feel great about both of them and am now just waiting for the official word that I am moving on to the practical exam.
Sounds like it shouldn't be to bad either. They used to use the state practical exam skill sheets, but decided that favored those directly out of EMT class and not those with a bit of experience. Instead, they do a mock run, give you an EMT partner and an ambulance, and want you to run the scene/provide patient care as you would do on a real run.
After the practical, you meet with the head of the program to go over your HOBET results and schedule your interview.
The practical is on 6/12 and the interview is on 6/20, so I should know in the next couple weeks whether or not I am in.
