The situation:

Retired, but have been a medic since 1980. Certified in Florida (where I spent most of my career) and Montana. About two years ago I got Montana reciprocity (surprisingly easy) as I have potential to need it but haven’t yet. Montana is coming up for renewal and, as best as I can tell, there is a medical director approved "continued competency” certificate required. I don’t think it has to be in Montana. The Montana rules references NREMT but i do not have NR.

I emailed the state EMS office but have not heard back.

Any ideas on how to accomplish this? I am willing to travel/meet/test/whatever to meet this requirement.

The state rule: https://rules.mt.gov/gateway/RuleNo.asp?RN=24.156.2718

I'm just curious if you heard anything back from the state and what happened?

I have since gotten NRP so Monatana recert is covered.

Edit: I did not hear back from the state.

I'm glad it worked out for you, but that doesn't say much for Montana, not responding to your message.
