Does anyone know of a protocol out there for rehab of participants in an event during high activity level? I'm looking for something that's like IV fluid for fire personnel during a fire rehab. Just want to see if any agencies have a protocol similar to what I'm talking about.

That's helpful, thank you.

Here we see rehab operations most typically with large wild land fire events. Typically Cal Fire will dictate where and when resources get deployed, and operations will have a medical rehab group and food/water supply.

We also automatically deploy at least one ambulance for any working structure fire. We don't specifically have a protocol for what is expected of us, we're there mostly in case something goes sideways and a firefighter gets injured. To be more proactive though, we typically offer up our cold packs and pull out bottled water for people. We do not provide any IV hydration unless someone shows signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke, as this would necessitate transporting them to a hospital.
