I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row to re certify my NREMT Paramedic this coming March. I've already completed the 24 hrs of continuing education, but haven't started on the 24 hrs of the actual refresher.

Some of my friends who are doctors say that every few weeks there are free online CME stuff they can do, usually a website that has paid services, but offers an hour or two for free to "demo" it.

I'm a police officer now, so I don't have access to all the classes offered at my old service.

If anyone knows of any websites I'd appreciate it!

its 72 hours in total (excluding mandatory ACLS and CPR)

I think its easiest to take a 48 hour refresher to cover the mandatory and flexibe content and then do some of the other 24 hours online or with card classes like PALS,PEPP,PHTLS, ect. Also your capped on how much you can do online, unless its certified as F5 with CECBEMS, which means it has to be a live online lecture where you are able to participate in

PS: Not to endorse a particular online source, but I used distancecme.com many of there online courses are live and count the same as in person classes (F5 CECBEMS) You can complete the entire 72 hours, plus ACLS with them online if you need to. I just re certified my NREMT this way and even bridged from NREMT-P to NRP with distance cme. Great resource if you need to this stuff online for whatever reason. In my case, I am overseas, so I had to find an online resource.
