question about EMT-specialist please help!!

Hello, I am currently a basic seeking some advice. There is an 8 week class in my town to train as a EMT intermediate 85 or EMT specialist not sure exactly what to call it. I was wondering if any of you could please help me and give some feed back on how the jump is.. the jump from emt basic to emt specialist. I have heard that the only major differenc is IV and Intibation. Do any of you know how difficult an EMT specialist class may be.. or the jump.. any feed back would help.. Thank you !!
