Question about EMT program @ SAIT

Good afternoon everyone, just a quick question from a hopefully future EMT student at sait, I have my interview and enterance exam coming up soon. Im just curious, would the enterance exam just have EMR type information on it, or would they actually put EMT stuff on it? Just want to know incase I need to look at other books other than the ones from my EMR course. Thank you! (And please dont mistake I'm not looking for questions, or anything like that for the exam, just want to make sure I'm studying the correct stuff!!)

Welcome to EMT life. There are a few other Canadians here who can probably answer your question much better than I can. That said your best bet is to contact the school and not random strangers on the Internet. That way you will know for sure and there won't be any surprises.

I never had an entrance exam, but that was also 4 years ago. Personally I would not look too deep into EMT information. They want to see that you are a competent EMR, and that you can use your critical thinking skills. After all, they cannot hope to test you on things that have not been taught to you yet. Think of it as a second ACP exam.

Also, don't stress too much about it. I had classmates who hadn't a clue how to open an O2 tank :huh:....come to think of it, that may be why they started these entrance exams haha.
