The course I am about to go into is a hybrid program and they require you to attend an intake, interview and a comprehensive assessment test to determine your compatability in the course. You will probably be notified if these are requirements. Here is the email I personally received
Dear xxxxxxxxx,

This letter is not a confirmation of your acceptance into the EMT Program. There is an attachment to this email instructing you on your 2 letters of recommendation that are due at the Intake Meeting.

EFSC has a strong parking policy on campus. To avoid a parking fine, you may want to arrive a little early and go to the Security Office located in Bldg. 1 and pick up a temporary parking permit.
Upon receipt of this letter, please contact Vxxxx xxxxxxx by March 12 xxxxxxx@easternflorida.eduto confirm that you received this notification letter and that you will be attending.
Respectfully,

Now the letter does not mention a test, but don't be fooled by it. I know from multiple sources they grade you on everything the second you walk in that door. This is a particularly intensive program, and many are not nearly as requirement intensive. But from what I know for a fact:
- The person who interviews you is an ex fire chief for our county (talk about pressure)
He grades the way you present yourself, the way you dress, your cleanliness haircut. All of it. If you look disorganized and messy, that is immediate point deduction and will affect your final grade in the admission process
-You receive a written test, with right and wrong answers. Mostly common sense questions, many requiring essay answers.
-Your preparedness is observed
-You will speak to 5 instructors throughout the process. All of them high ranking EMS personell.
Again, this is individual to MY program only. But be prepared for all of this, and you will have nothing to worry about. Better to be over prepared then lost.
